Multiplication by 125 :

 

Tip! : Multiply a number by 125 is also very simple!

To multiply a number by 125, divide the number by 8 and then put three 0's at the end

or multiply the number by 8 and then product x 1000

Eg 1 :

For example to find 48 × 125

Ist Divide (48 / 8 ) = 6

Then (6x1000) = 6000

 

Practice following multiplication by 125:

 

1)128 x 125 =

2)1344 x 25 =

3)123456 x 125 =

4)42378x 125 =

5) 369024 x 125 =

 

Multiplication by 625 :

 

Tip! : Multiply a number by 625 is also very simple!

To multiply a number by 625, divide the number by 16 and then put Four 0's at the end

or multiply the number by 16 and then product x 10000

Eg 1 :

For example to find 48 × 625

Ist Divide ( 48 / 16 ) 3

(3 x 10000 ) Therefore 48x625 = 30000

Multiplication by 15 :

 

Tip! : When multiplying a number by 15, simply multiply the number by 10, then add half.

Eg 1 :

For example to find 15 × 6

Ist Multiply 60 ( 6 x 10 ) then half of 60 is 30

Then 60+30=90
