Age Limit : Age reckoned as  on Last Date of Form fill i.e. 22nd May 2023

For Technical Officer: 18-35 Years i.e.  Candidate must have been born not earlier than 23/05/1988 and not later than 22/05/2005.

For Scientific Assistant: 18-30 Years i.e. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 23/05/1993 and not later than 22/05/2005

For Technician: 18-25 Years  i.e.  Candidate must have been born not earlier than
23/05/1998 and not later than 22/05/2005.

For Stipendiary Trainee Category-I: 19-24 Years i.e. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 23/05/1999 and not later than 22/05/2004.

For Stipendiary Trainee Category-II: 18-22 Years i.e. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 23/05/2001 and not later than 22/05/2005.

Age Relaxation Applicable for SC/ST/Ex and PWD candidates.

Age Relaxation 5 Years for SC and ST and 3 Years for OBC applicable.

 

Essential Qualification (EQ)

For Technical Officer: B.Tech/M.Sc in concerned stream
For Scientific Assistant: Bachelors of Science in Food/Home Science or Nutrition
For Technician: Matriculation with Second Class Boiler Attendant Certificate
For Stipendiary Trainee Category-I: B.Sc or Diploma
For Stipendiary Trainee Category-II: Matriculation with 60% and ITI Certificate in relevant trade OR Inter with PCM 60% OR HSC with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and
Biology with minimum 60% marks in aggregate

BARC Trainee 2023 Selection Procedure :

The Selection Process for BARC Based on following :

  • For Technical Officer:  Interview
  • For Scientific Assistant and Cat-1 Trainees : The Computer Based Screening Test of one hour duration will be conducted on all India basis and will comprise of 40 multi choice questions (choice of 4 options). ‘3’ marks will be awarded for each correct answer and ‘1’ mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The syllabus for the said examination will be based on subjects at Diploma / B.Sc. level as the case may be. Those candidates qualifying in the Screening
    Test shall be shortlisted for interview. The venue of interview will be intimated later.
    Final selection will be on the basis of performance of the candidate in interview and no weightage
    will be given for marks scored in the Screening Test. The decision of this Centre in this regard will be final.
  • For Technician B and For Stipendiary Trainee Category-IIThe Selection Process consists of Tests in three stages –
    Stage 1 – Preliminary Test
    Stage 2 – Advanced Test
    Stage 3 – Skill Test.
    The Computer Based Test will be conducted on all India basis for Stage 1 – Preliminary Test and Stage 2 –
    Advanced Test for concerned trade in a single Session. However, the evaluation of Stage 2 – Advanced Test
    will be carried out only of those candidates qualified in the Stage 1 – Preliminary Test.
    Stage 1 – Preliminary Test
    Screening Test consisting of 50 multi choice questions (choice of 4 options) of one hour duration in
    the following proportion:
    Mathematics – 20 questions
    Science – 20 questions
    General awareness – 10 questions
    ‘3’ marks will be awarded for each correct answer and ‘1’ mark will be deducted for each incorrect
    answer. All candidates with less than 40% in general category and less than 30% in reserved category will
    be screened out.
    Stage 2 – Advanced Test
    The Test will comprise of 50 multi choice questions (choice of 4 options) of two hours duration.
    ‘3’ marks will be awarded for each correct answer and ‘1’ mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
    Merit List of candidates will be prepared after Stage-2, based upon the scores obtained in Stage-2 only.
    All candidates with less than 30% in general category and less than 20% in reserved category will be screened out.
    Stage 3 – Skill Test
    The number of candidates shortlisted for Skill Test will depend upon the number of candidates qualifying for Stage 2 but will not exceed 4 to 5 times the number of vacancies in each trade.
    The Skill Test will be based on Go/No-Go basis.
    Based upon the Merit List prepared after Stage 2 – Advanced Test, candidates will be shortlisted
    for Stage 3. Candidates clearing the Skill Test will be shortlisted and empanelled in order of Merit based on the marks secured in Stage 2 – Advanced Test

Click on the Apply Online Link given below or visit the website www.barc.gov.in.
Fill all the mandatory fields in the application form
Upload Photo, Signature and the required documents as mentioned in notification
Make Fees Payment
Print the Application Form for future use.

In addition to the Admit Card, it is mandatory to carry at least two passport size front face recent colour photographs and any of the following Original valid Photo-ID proof having the Date of Birth as printed on the Admit Card:
(a) Aadhaar Card/ Printout of E-Aadhaar,
(b) Voter’s ID Card,
(c) Driving Licence,
(d) PAN Card,
(e) Passport,
(f) Employer ID Card (Government / PSU),
(g) Ex-Serviceman Discharge Book issued by Ministry of Defence,
(h) Any other photo bearing ID Card issued by the Central/ State Government.
