Given below are the Railway Budget 2016-17 highlights in regard to RRB Examination point of view.
1)2016-17- Railway Budget is One Lakh 21 thousand Crores.
2)LIC agreed to invest One Lakh Fifty thousand Crores in next 5 years.
3)To Construct Railway Line 7 kms per day.
4)Proposed to recruit 9000 Vacancies during 2017-2018.
5)Plan to achieve Rs.5 development with 1 Re. expenditure.
6)Proposed to electrify 2000 km Railway Line in Next financial year.
7)Plan of Income for 2016-17 is Rs. 1,84,820 Crores.
8)5,300 km 44 new project construction MoUs(Memoradum of Understanding).
9)Plan to start on-board house-keeping services in 100 more trains.
10)Indian Railway achieved 8,720, Crores surplus during 2015-2016 towards Energy(fuel) saving.
11)Disposal Bread sheets to be provided in selected Stations
12)Speed of Passenger trains increased to 50 km and 80 km for mail and Express trains.
13)13 km per day broad gage Railway line to be constructed up to 2017-18
14)To create 9 crores work days in 2016-17 and 14 crores workdays in 2018-19
15)With State Govt partnership new projects to be established.
16)In Every train 120 Lower Berths are allocated for Aged and Women passengers.
17)In PPP scheme 400 stations are modernized.
18)WiFi services are provided in selected stations.
19)Railway University is proposed in Vodadara in the name of National Institute of Railway(NIR).
20)Smart Railway Coaches are provided.
21)FM services in Rajadhani, Satadbi and Mail trains.
22)Milk and hot water is provided for Children in Railway Stations.
23)First Auto Hub planned in Chennai(Tamilnadu)
24)Separate Toilets for Physically Handicapped are proposed to establish.
25)WiFi is provided in 100 Stations during next FY and it will be extended to 400 stations within 2 years.
