.The face or dial of watch is a circle whose circumference is divided into 60 equal parts called minute spaces.

.The circular patch comprises of 360 degrees

.A clock has two hands, the smaller one is called he hour hand or a short hand while the larger one is called minute hand or a long hand.

.Angle traced by hour hand in 12 hrs = 360 degrees; Angle made by an hour hand per hour = 360/12 = 30 degrees

.Angle traced by minute hand in 60 min = 360 degrees

Angle made by an minute hand per hour = 360/60 = 6 degrees

.Distance travelled by an hour hand for the completion of one hour =  5 minutes

.Distance travelled by a minute hand for the completion of one hour = 60 minutes

.Time/Distance gained by a minute hand for one hour = 60/55 minutes

.When the two hands come together, the coincidence will occur

.Both the hands will be at right angles when the hands are at distance of 15 min. They will form a right angle twice in one hour, one is before coincidence

and the other is after coincidence.

.Both the hands form a straight line in opposite direction, when the hands are at distance of 30 min. for every one hour this will happen only once.

.When both  the hands are allowed to travel at a particular time, they will coincide after 65min 5/11

.If they are coinciding before the above time, it is to be understood that clock is running fast

.If they are coinciding after the above time, it is to be understood that clock is running slow.

.If both hands start moving from the same position, then they coincide in 65 5/11 mins.
If the hands coincide in time less than 65 5/11 mins. Then the clock is fast, if the hands coincide in time more than 65 5/11 mins, then the clock is slow.

.In slow clock i.e, a clock that loses time;

.For a fast clock, i.e., a clock that gains time:
